The Barrymore Film Center (BFC) stands at the crossroads of history and innovation, deeply rooted in Fort Lee, the birthplace of American cinema.

As a not-for-profit cultural and educational institution, BFC’s mission is to honor the legacy of film while fostering the future of filmmaking through programs, screenings, and educational opportunities.

By becoming a member, you help to bring unique films, special events, and educational programs to the community, inspire future filmmakers and cinephiles through screenings and discussions, and preserve the legacy of American cinema and celebrate Fort Lee’s place in film history.

Memberships are renewable and last for one year, except where noted. Membership benefits are nontransferable.

Starting on January 1st, 2025, we will be updating our membership levels giving you access to:

  • More perks: Think exclusive events, behind-the-scenes access, and early invites.

  • Better engagement: Get closer to the films, festivals, and programs you love.

  • More fun: Enjoy even more ways to connect with our amazing community.

If you are already a member, you can continue to enjoy all the benefits you signed up for until your renewal date is reached — you’re officially grandfathered in under your current plan.

For new members purchasing before January 1st, 2025, your membership will remain active for one full year from the date you joined. After that, you’ll transition to the exciting new levels.

THE BARRYMORE FILM CENTER’S NEW 2025 MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

The Friends of Fort Lee Film, which operates the Barrymore Film Center, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Memberships, donations and charitable contributions represent a critical percentage of our annual income and help bridge the gap between revenue and operating expenses. The BFC relies on individuals, corporations, foundations, and governmental sources for funds to help the organization.  New Jersey Charities Registration for Friends of Fort Lee Film #CH4498600.
